Hi, I am Jessica...wife of Mark, mother of Aidan, Ella and Anna, and a devoted follower of Christ. In my former life, I was a teacher. But when my oldest child was 3, I gave up teaching to stay home with him. It was a big leap of faith, but I felt like God was calling me to full time motherhood, and I am so glad I chose to obey. The days are long, money is tight, but the blessings are abundant. I feel it is my calling to raise my kids to follow hard after God, to passionately love Him and to demonstrate that love by passionately loving others. It's a tall order for a mommy that is flawed in so many ways, but I am trying my best.
Mark is my husband. He has been a teacher for 16 years. We met when we taught 4th grade next door to each other. He is a great husband, father and teacher. He is also my best friend. We love hanging out and making dumb jokes. He is one of my greatest blessings.
Aidan is our oldest. He is a laid back, easy going kid. He loves to read, play video games, shoot baskets and ride his bike. He is a tender hearted and loveable boy. He wants to be either a baseball player, a basketball player or a writer when he grows up. Although, if those don't work out, a cartoonist and a pilot are also on the list. He is a great big brother, and it is a delight to be his mother.
Ella is our little fire cracker. She keeps us on our toes with her fiesty nature and quick wit. But, for all her fire and spirit, she is also very nurturing and sweet. She loves animals and babies, especially her baby sister. She looks up to Aidan and dotes on Anna. She wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up.
Anna is our newest and littlest blessing. She is a sweet, joyful baby. She loves to be held and cuddle and she's always smiling. We felt extremely blessed after having Aidan and Ella...so Anna was just the icing on the cake. I can't wait to watch her grow and learn more about her personality. We are so humbled by God's love and power displayed in our perfect little daughter.
So, that's me and my precious family...I hope you enjoy reading my blog. :)
